Ronald L. Johannes, age 82, of Erie, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born on February 4, 1934, the son of the late Anna and Earl Johannes. He graduated from Academy H.S. and served two years in the United States Army, stationed in Berlin, Germany. Ron was a retired Master Plumber and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jessie; one daughter, Cynthia Johannes-Beecher (David) of York, PA, one step-grandson Alex Beecher of Alexandria, VA; one brother, Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to the Funeral Mass at St. Jude R. C. Church, 2801 West 6th Street, Erie, PA 16505 on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie, PO Box 3605, Erie, PA 16508.
