Obituary of Kathleen A. Granahan

Kathleen A. Harvey Granahan, age 87, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at UPMC-Hamot. She was born in Erie on January 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Rossiter Harvey. She was a 1947 graduate of Strong Vincent H.S. and later worked at Bucyrus Erie in her earlier years. She was a member of St. George R.C. Church, and enjoyed playing tennis, was an avid golfer playing in the 9 and 18 Hole League at Erie Golf Course. She was a founding member of the Glenridge Garden Club and enjoyed gardening around her home. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, John H. Granahan, one daughter Dr. Kathleen E. Hamilton of Dallas, TX, two sons; Mark Granahan (Karen) of Allentown, PA, James Granahan (Bridget Grant) of Fairview Twp., three grandchildren: Keelin, Kate, and Ryan Granahan, two sisters; Rita Bauschard of Erie and Annette Ashworth of Port Clinton, OH. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry and Dennis Harvey and one sister Patricia Harvey. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service there at 2:00 p.m. Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
