Obituary of Florine Sexauer

Florine "Flossie" V. Daugherty Sexauer, age 89, of Millcreek Twp. passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie on November 6, 1925, the daughter of the late Loren and Teresa Blehl Daugherty. She was employed as an X-ray technician at Hamot Hospital and the Radiologist Association. Florine was a life-long member of St. Peter's Cathedral and was in the 1943 graduating class of Villa. She enjoyed writing, charcoal sketching, archeological digs, and outdoor activities. She is survived by her husband, Grover W. Sexauer and her children: Margaret Robson, Patricia Stoffan (Tom), Lynnette Hamilton (Lynn), Scott Sexauer (Autumn), Amy Fisher (Bob), and Jodi Sexauer, twelve grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Neil Daugherty. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service there at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Msgr. William E. Biebel. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1128 State Street, Erie, PA 16501, or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
