Obituary of Brad Matha

Brad E. Matha, age 61, formerly of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at his home in Geneva, OH. Brad was a strong man who gave his all in his fight against cancer. Brad did not lose his fight, yet God saw his amazing strength, confidence and courage, and needed his greatness in the Heavens. Brad was born on May 19, 1953, the son of the late Clifford W. and Theresa Matha. Brad was such an ambitious man with such a huge heart. His laugh warmed your soul and his smile melted your heart. Brad loved many things, such as drawing, playing his drums, bowling, golfing, and riding his motorcycle. Brad is survived by his loving fiancé, Linda Cantrell of Geneva, OH, his two daughters, Melissa Matha (Mark) and Janelle Coluzzi (Chris) both of Erie. His four step-children: Skye George (Mike), BreAnn Schreiber (RT), Kayleigh McDonald, and his step-son Robert McDonald, all from Ohio. Also three brothers: Dale Matha (Pat), Clifford "Skip" Matha (Kathy), and Greg Matha (Kim) all of Erie. His brothers-in-law: Richard Bruner, Rusty Cantrell, Bryan Cantrell, and his sister-in-law Lori Golding from Ohio. Brad also leaves his twelve grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Brad was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Chris W. Matha, one nephew Clifford "Cliffie" Matha, and his brother-in-law David Cantrell. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
