Obituary of Robert Coverdale

Robert "Bob" J. Coverdale, age 69, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, SC while spending time at his beach house in Surfside Beach, SC. He was born in Erie, PA on January 29, 1946, the son of the late Roy and Patricia Vargo Coverdale. He was a graduate of East H.S. and served in the US Amy during the Vietnam era and then served in the National Guard. He was employed as a postal carrier for thirty four years until his retirement. Bob was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, Zukor Club, the Holy Trinity Club, the VFW, and the American Legion Post 773. He enjoyed bowling, golfing (played on the Siebenbuerger team and morning league at Orchard Ponds), and his beach house. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace M. Harding Coverdale, one son Michael Chessario of Millcreek with whom he resided, one sister Patricia J. Coverdale Lukeas of Erie, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Coverdale. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 and are invited there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service.
