Obituary of Rose Marie Little

Rose Marie Eckard Little, age 77, of McKean Twp., passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at LECOM Senior Living. She was born on December 10, 1937 in Erie, PA the daughter of the late Gilbert and Helen Hyziewicz Little, Sr. Rose was a graduate of Academy High School and was employed at McKean Township, Ames Department Store, and was the secretary for Jim Brozell Construction. Rose Marie was a member of St. Frances Xavier Roman Catholic Church, a member of the St. Frances Ushers Club, the Edinboro and McKean VFW Auxiliary, was a McKean Lioness, was a member of the Auxiliary Club for the McKean Hose Company, was a founding member of the McKean Recreation Authority, was active in McKean Twp. government, and was a Girl Scout leader for Sacred Heart. She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her grandkids. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Irwin P. Little in 2004, one brother, Gilbert Eckard, Jr., a sister-in-law, Sue Eckard, and one brother-in-law Norman Kraus. Rose is survived by one son Marvin P. Little (Tammy) of Waterford, one daughter Susan M. Ronto (Steve) of Cranesville, four grandchildren: Melvin Little, Kristina Allen, Steven, and Shane Ronto, one great grandson, Daniel Discher, one brother Thomas T. Eckard (Carol) of Erie, two sisters-in-law; Shirley Kraus, and Janet Gloss (John), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8880 W. Main St., McKean, PA on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Private interment. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
