Obituary of Marilyn L. Culbertson

Marilyn L. Grove Culbertson passed away on her 92nd birthday after a brief illness at the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Ctr. surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 12, 1923 in Utica, PA, the daughter of the late S. Alton and Jane Anderson Grove. Marilyn was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, but especially her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years Earl A. Culbertson, her children: Larry A. Culbertson (Alicia) of Millcreek Twp., Neil R. Culbertson (Patti) of Girard, Mary Ellen Long (Wally) of McKean Twp., one sister Ethel J. Hammond (Glenn) of Cambridge Springs, six grandchildren: Sharon Anderson (Jerry) of Millcreek, Debbie Sawyer (Rob) of Wenatchee, WA, Karen Schulze (John) of Erie, Kathleen Kranz (Chad) of Erie, Timothy D. Long (Kim) of McKean, Bethany Piatkowski (Jerrod) of McKean, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson Jonathon Piatkowski, one brother Byron Grove, one sister Gail Wagner and a sister-in-law Annice Hanks. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. today (Monday, September 14, 2015) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and are invited there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service.
