Obituary of Robert Chessario

Robert C. Chessario Robert C. Chessario, age 79, of Millcreek Twp. and Beverly Hills, FL died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Erie, PA on September 6, 1927, the son of the late Carmen A. and Anna Sullivan Chessario. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from the U.S. Federal Government as a food inspector. He also worked for the PA Department of Agriculture. He was a life member of V.F.W. and Flamming Zuckor Club. He was also a member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty L. Plyler Chessario. He is also survived by one son-in-law, Michael J. Clark, Sr., of Erie, two grandchildren, Michael J. Clark, Jr., and his wife, Maria, of Orlando, FL and Martin P. Clark, of Erie; four great grandchildren, Andrew, Nicole, Joseph, and Jacob Clark; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Chessario Clark, one son, Robert C. Chessario, Jr., and two sisters: Marion Fasciano and Jeanne Iavarone. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a prayer service followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace RC Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
