Margaret Irene Buhl Chilcott
Margaret I. Chilcott, 82, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, following a short and unexpected illness. She passed away in the loving company of her three children while in Cape Coral, FL where she was visiting her daughter and family.
Margaret was employed at Murata Erie as an administrator in the employee benefits department where she worked for 35 years. She served on the Board of Directors of the ETP Federal Credit Union, was President of the Erie Chapter of the National Secretaries Association, and also served as President of the Residents Council for two years at her long term senior residence, St. Joseph's Apts. on West 6th St. in Erie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings. She was the very proud mother of Sue May of Erie, Dan Chilcott of Pittsburgh, and Luci Draheim of Cape Coral, FL.
She was loved and will be dearly missed by her three children, her eight grandchildren, her twenty great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends are invited to celebrate her life at a Mass to be held on Friday, November 5th in the Chapel at St. Joseph Apts., 517 Maryland Ave., Erie, at 10:00 a.m. and then join her family for a short reception following in the social hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908. Local arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
