Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Jeffreys

Mary Elizabeth (Sis) Hemphill Jeffreys, passed away on November 19, 2015 with her devoted husband and her 7 children by her side. She was born on June 5, 1935 in Butler. PA. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mary Ellen Hemphill and her brother Merle Hemphill. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was past President of Presque Isle Women's Club and mentored in the Mother to Mother program in Erie. She received the Mother of the Year award as well. She is survived by the love of her life, Willis Jeffreys and recently celebrated 62 years of marriage, and her 7 children: Kim (Krista) Jeffreys, Marsha (Ted) Rogers, Ken (Sue) Jeffreys, Margie (Bob) Seibel, Michelle (Ron) Coleman, Melinda (Lou) Nichilo, Mary Beth (Rick) Hiegel, and her 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. When she was asked who her favorite child was, she would respond, “the one who needs me the most.” Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to Asbury United Methodist Church on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. for the Funeral Service.
