Robert “Bob” A. Wagner, age 87, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at West Lake Woods surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 9, 1928, the son of the late Samuel and Marion Rouyer Wagner. He was employed at the family business, S.A. Wagner Agency & Wagner Insurance Associates until his retirement. He was a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church, St. Jude and St. Patrick parishes. Bob was a Life Member of the Erie Maennerchor Club, past President of the Erie Kiwanis Club, Past Governor PA District of Kiwanis, and past Vice President Kiwanis International. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sally A. Wagner, his second wife Shirley G., and one sister Edith. Bob is survived by his children: Mary E. Wagner of Columbia, MD, David A. Wagner (Kathy) of Erie, Linda A. Webb (T.J.) of Disputanta, VA, two brothers; William Wagner (Edna), Donald Wagner (Karen) both of Erie, and three grandsons: Robert J. and Peter J. Wagner both of Erie and Samuel D. Wagner of Christiansburg, VA.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family with inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. handled all arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach Street, Suite 244, Erie, PA 16501, Alzheimer’s Association of Greater PA, 1128 State Street, Erie, PA 16501, or the Kiwanis Club Erie Foundation, 3227 Willis Street, Erie, PA 16506.
