Obituary of Race A. Schultze

Race A. Schulze, age 26, of Belton, MO, formerly of Erie, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015. He was born on December 16, 1989 in Erie, the son of Wade A. Schulze of Summit Twp. and Lisa M. Palmer Weislogel and his step-father Bradley D. Weislogel of Millcreek Twp. Race graduated from McDowell H.S. in 2008 and in December, 2008, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp and proudly served his country for four years; with two tours in Afghanistan where he earned numerous merits, awards, and medals. He was currently attending theological college to attain a degree in pastoral studies and later to become a pastor/missionary. He enjoyed reading and physical fitness training. Besides his parents and step-father, he is survived by one sister Justine Sullivan of Millcreek, two brothers; Nicholas Palmer of Erie, Benjamin Weislogel of Millcreek, his paternal grandparents Clayton and Patricia Schulze of Albion, his maternal grandfather David Palmer of Erie, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Phyllis Palmer. Friends and family may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. and are invited there on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. for funeral prayers and a time of sharing. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
