Obituary of Doris Chojnacki

Doris E. Zimmer Chojnacki Doris E. Zimmer Chojnacki, age 81, of Erie, died Monday, October 5, 2009 at the Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Erie on November 5, 1927, the daughter of the late, Adam and Minnie Glowacki Zimmer. She had been employed at Western Reserve Nursing Home for ten years and was a member of All Saints Parish. She enjoyed word puzzles, embroidery, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chojnacki, Sr., one sister, Erna Zimmer, and four brothers: George, Charles, Oscar, and Henry Zimmer. She is survived by two daughters; Cathy Carnes (Jim) of Millcreek, Mary Oberacker of Millcreek, two sons; Edward Chojnacki, Jr. (Susan) of Cambridge Springs, James Chojnacki of Waterford, six grandchildren: Shelby Fuller (Philip), Sharon Black (Trevor), Chad and Lindsey Oberacker, Sean and Logan Carnes, one great- granddaughter, Natalie Fuller, two brothers-in-law, Gale Miner and John (Ann Marie) Chojnacki, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to All Saints Parish on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
