Mary M. Frank, age 99, passed away on February 6, 2016. Mary was born in Ripley, NY on August 26, 1916, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine DiLeonardo Verga. Mary was a retired secretary for the Erie School District working at several elementary schools. She is the past president of the Erie School District Secretary’s Assn. She also worked for Sears Roebuck Co. as a buyer for infants and children’s clothes. She was active at Blessed Sacrament Church as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of many parish committees. Preceding Mary was her husband, Linus Edward (Pat) Frank, four sisters and five brothers and later in life her friend Jim Zink. She is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Mary Jane, (Mt. Prospect, IL), three grandsons Patrick (Alexandria, VA), Brendan (Grayslake, IL ) and Andrew (Chicago, IL) and great grandson, Caleb (Alexandria, VA), and many nieces and nephews. Mary’s extended family included Diane Munson, a dear friend and neighbor. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s Gallagher Center for their excellent care. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is handling all arrangements. A Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 W. 26th St., Erie, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Home, Gallagher Center, 607 East 26th St., Erie, PA 16504.
