Obituary of James Edward Griffith

James Edward Griffith, age 54, of Erie, passed away to eternal life on Sunday, February 14, 2016. He was born in Erie on July 30, 1961, the son of the late Fred and Dottie Griffith. He was preceded in death by one niece Breanna Griffith. Jim graduated from Fairview H.S. in 1980 and worked at UPMC-Hamot. Jim had a quick wit, a sense of humor, and a contagious smile which was enjoyed by all who knew him. He also owned and operated Griffith Landscaping and Snowplowing. He took pride in his work and enjoyed helping others. Jim is survived by his twin brother John (Kathy) and brothers; Bill (Fran) and Fred (Mari), and sisters; Dianne Chrzanowski (Dan) and Karen Hofius (Lynn). Private services were held at the convenience of the family by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie City Mission, PO Box 407, Erie, PA 16512 or to the charity of one’s choice.
