Charles “Chuck” A. Slifko, age 81, of Millcreek Twp., Erie, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the PA Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home in Erie.
He was born in Morann, PA on March 20, 1935, the son of the late Andrew and Susan Fabian Slifko. He served in the US Navy and was employed as an electrician for NCR. Later he owned and operated SCR (Suburban Cash Register). He is survived by one daughter Patty Hinds (Jeff) of Carnegie, three sons: Robert Slifko of Imperial, PA, Mike Slifko (Lori) of Carnegie, John Slifko (Sue) of Carnegie, nine grandchildren: Matt, Andy, Stacey, Jason, Jennifer, Michelle, Ryan, Ashley, and Joseph.
Friends may attend a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 2401 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Private inurnment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
All arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
