Obituary of Eric Christiansen

Eric A. Christiansen Eric A. Christiansen, age 44, of Erie died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his residence. He was a cancer survivor for ten years. He was born on August 22, 1966 in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Beatrice (Pat) Larson Christiansen of Hernando, Mississippi and the late Nymer A. Christiansen. He was a Fairview H. S. graduate and attended Penn State University, Behrend Campus. He was a well-known local musician and was a private music instructor. He enjoyed music, recording, composing music, and family. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by two children; son, Nathan, and daughter, Tayne, both of Erie; four siblings: Norman Christiansen of Cleveland, Cristyne Yanity (Chris) of Dayton, OH, Melisa Christiansen of LA, and his twin, Mark Christiansen (Donna) of Hernando, MS. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are invited to St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. Scott Maxwell. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
