Obituary of Clare M. Plisiewicz

Clare M. Plisiewicz, age 91, of Burlington, NC, formerly of Erie, PA, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at The Hospice Home, Burlington, NC. She was born in Mount Carmel, PA on July 1, 1924 to the late Paul and Mary Olshefski. Upon moving to Erie, Clare was employed by Louis Marx and Company, Erie Resistor Corp., and the Joseph P. Dahlkemper Company, Inc. She loved dancing, playing cards, bocce, and knitting. Clare had quite the sweet tooth and ate dessert after every meal. Survivors include her three children: Chester A. Plisiewicz of Delray Beach, FL, Cheryl Huegel of Burlington, NC, and Cindy Perez of Succasunna, NJ; seven grandchildren: Kathy, Karen, Paul, Kim, Tisha, Christine, and Michael; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Chester A. Plisiewicz and her sole sibling, Paul J. Olshefski preceded her in death. No calling hours will be observed. A private interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Dusckas Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
