Lindsey G. Cole
Lindsey G. Cole, age 77, of Erie, died July 17, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Harborcreek on May 15, 1931, son of the late Glenn E. and Rose K. Cole. He worked for Zurn Industry for 43 years and was an independent painter. He was a member of the Sarah Hearn Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Siebenbuerger Club. He played guitar and the fiddle at various nursing homes.
His wife, Betty A. Cole, in 2002 and a daughter, Linda J. Grazier, in 2003 preceded him in death. Three sisters also preceded him in death: Nellie Devine, Eleanor Langdon, and Ethel Cole, and one brother, Perry Cole. Survivors include his second wife, Nancy A. Cole; four daughters: Marjorie Williams and her husband, Harold, Judy Stubenhofer and her husband, James, Sr., Susan Lathrop and her husband Scott I., and Daria Kitcey and her husband, Sam; two sons: Larry L. Cole and Darryl Onuschak and his wife, Carleen. 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive him.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services at Sarah Hearn Memorial Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505, or the charity of one's choice.
