Obituary of Betty M. Carl

Betty M. Rowles Carl, age 91, a resident of Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville, PA, passed away there on Sunday October 23, 2016. She was born in Mount Union, PA on March 24, 1925 a daughter of the late Charles and Edith Boohrer Rowles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert J. Carl in 2008; five siblings, one daughter, Betty Christos; son-in-law, Chesley J. Terrill Sr.; two grandsons, Joshua Bailey and Matthew Phelps and one granddaughter, Ciera Mast. Betty’s greatest love was spending time with her family and orchestrating Sunday dinners. She was an amazing cook and baker. She not only enjoyed cooking for her family, but she also shared her gift with her church and the church school. Betty was very strong in her Baptist faith and was a former member of the Erie Baptist Temple. She is survived by her children Phyllis Terrill, Susan Carl, Julie (Virgil) King, Joseph (Debbie) Carl, Karen (Alfred) Formanek and Rebecca (George) Bailey; twenty grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Rolling Fields Nursing Home and Southern Care Hospice for all their loving care and support. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and are invited to funeral services there on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gerald Devine officiating.
