Obituary of Eleanor D. Fratus

Eleanor D. Benecki Fratus, age 87, of Erie, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born in Erie on September 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Maciak Benecki. She was employed at Erie Universal and was a life member of St. Mark’s Auxiliary and Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. She enjoyed bingo and bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband Emanuel Fratus,Jr., one infant daughter Patricia, three sisters: Nellie Tecza, Louise Ellis, Ida Thomas, two brothers; Henry and Joseph Benecki. She is survived by three sons: Daniel Fratus of AZ, Robert Fratus (Heidi) of Erie, James Fratus (Cheryl) of Dillsburg, PA, five grandchildren: Mary Crowther, Robert, Nicholas, Christopher, and Gregory Fratus, two great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, one sister Virginia Ropelewski (Alois) of Erie, one special niece Patty Zielewski, and many other nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,4216 Sterrettania Rd. from 4 until 8 p.m. and are invited there on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. for prayers followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament R.
