John R. Corbett
John R. Corbett, age 62, of Millcreek Twp., died Sunday, July 19, 2009 after an extended illness. He was born on June 5, 1947, in Brookville, PA, the son of the late, Wilbert and Martha Fitzgerald Corbett.
John was an oil rigger in Oklahoma, was employed at Fuhrers and Brinks Garage, Millcreek Twp., Hoffman Riggers, Birkmire Trucking, and TLC Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling to FL and going to NASCAR races.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Brunner Corbett, two daughters; Terra Corbett King (Brian) of Platea, Jill Corbett Flanagan of Millcreek, his step children: Cheryl Simmons, David, Robert, and Craig Brunner, Lori Brunner Kosienski, his grandchildren: Jessie and Sara King, Rachel, Warren, and Samuel Flanagan, Chris, Carissa and Jeff Simmons, Jaime and Delaney Brunner, Dylan, and Kennedy Kosienski, five sisters: Roberta Colgan (Mike), Mary West (Keith), Lucy Hilliard (John), Marge Moore, and Dorie Childs, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his former wife, Susan McNeish. He was preceded in death by one brother, George Corbett.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 6 until time of Memorial Service there at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, Palace Business Center, 915 State St. Erie, PA 16501.
