Obituary of Francine Stromenger

Francine Wasiloff Stromenger Francine Wasiloff Stromenger, age 77, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at UPMC-Hamot after an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie on October 7, 1939, the daughter of the late Sam and Genevieve Fedroff Wasiloff. She was a 1957 graduate of East H.S. and attended the Erie County VoTech school with a degree in nurse’s aide. She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital, The Agresti Medical Group, and the West Erie Family Physicians. Francine spent many of her retirement days working in the family business, Connie’s Ice Cream, making the ice cream and cookie dough. She enjoyed reading, traveling, but most of all attending her two grandson’s sporting activities. She was preceded in death by one son Craig Stephen Stromenger, three sisters: Anita Peterson, Daria Hales, Fima Galla, and a dear friend, Barb. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years John “Jack” W. Stromenger, one son David B. Stromenger (Denise) of West Springfield, PA, two grandsons; David C. Stromenger (Jessika) of Ft. Drum, NY, Andrew L. Stromenger of Erie, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care provided by the nurses and staff on the 6th floor at UPMC-Hamot.
