Obituary of Gloria R. Hamblin

Gloria R. “Glo” Bennett Hamblin Gloria R. “Glo” Bennett Hamblin, age 91, of Millcreek Twp. passed away in her sleep at her residence after a brief illness. She was born in Warren, PA on November 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Bennett. She moved to Erie in 1948. Glo was a life member of the Erie Co. Trap Club, a life member of the Bay City Trap Club, and a life member of the Erie Skeet Club. She enjoyed trap shooting. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell E. Hamblin, one granddaughter Arwen Lea Hamblin, three sisters: Diane Park, Pat Crosley, Helen Bennett, three brothers: Gordon, Craig, and Ray, Jr. Bennett. She is survived by three children; Jerry and R. Neil Hamblin both of Millcreek Twp., Sheila Hamblin Doolittle (Kevin) of North East, PA, four grandchildren: Devin Hamblin (Jennifer), Casey and Ashley Doolittle, Holly Doolittle-Wood, four great-grandchildren Isla Wood, Casey Jean Doolittle, Devin and Valerie Hamblin, two sisters; Jean Mack and Lucille Irwin and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service.
