Obituary of Marian Wedzik

Marian Krauchen Wedzik, 80 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday January 23, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on August 28, 1936, daughter of the late Peter Krauchen and Feonia Woodburn. Marian was a graduate of Lawrence Park High School in 1955. She retired from the Erie Insurance Exchange in 1997, where she held the position of Buyer in the Purchasing Department. Marian enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, dancing, classic movies and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Felix Wedzik; sister, Dolores Miles, one son, Lawrence Alan Wicker and a cherished great-grandson, Trevor Millimaci. Marian is survived by her four children, Laurie Rogers of Erie, Lynne (Chris) Chudzinski of Buffalo, Leo (Laura) Wicker of Fairview and Lydia (Thomas) D’Albora of Erie; one sister, Nancy Haenal of Waterford; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer and Sara Millimaci, Jeff and Gerard Burick, Eric Rogers and Leah Wicker, one great-grandson, Kaden Goda, and her dog, Snickers. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
