Helen, daughter of Edmund and Ethel Reider Hovey, was born on June 6, 1932 in Akron, Ohio. She worked for VanAir and was the owner of Copies Now in Erie. Helen was a member of the Women’s Roundtable and served as past president of the AAUW. She enjoyed gardening, history, reading, and travel. Helen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children Todd Nelson of Millcreek and Shane Nelson (Sandra) of Washington, D.C., and five grandchildren, Jennifer Tregaskis (Ronald), Jim Nelson (Danae), Nathaniel Blank (Remy), Joshua Nelson, and Jon Blank (Kristin), and many great-grandchildren.
