Obituary of Rose M. Turowski

Rose M. Turowski, of Millcreek Twp., went to be with her lord and savior on Wednesday May 3, 2017.  She was born in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late, Harry and Sophia (Rafaloski) Galaski.

Rose was a wonderful cook who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a talented seamstress and loved dancing, reading and traveling with her sisters.  Rose was previously employed at the Erie County Prison in the food preparation department and most recently enjoyed being a greeter at Walmart.      

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Galaski, Harriet Gomolekoff, Joann Heynoski and Henry Galaski and one granddaughter, Jacqueline Hodges. 

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Eugene W. Turowski; seven children, Sharon (Charlie) Earl, Janice Story, Joseph Glassman, Rebecca Glassman, Michael (Kim) Glassman, Richard Glassman and Christopher Glassman; two step-children, Ronald and Veronica Turowski; two sisters, Betty (Paul) Miller and Dorothy Santry and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
