Donald “Don” T. Magill

Donald “Don” T. Magill, age 89, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017.  He was born in Erie on December 3, 1927, the son of the late Arthur and Velma Turner Magill.  He was an Academy H.S. graduate and the Erie Business College.  He was employed at Erie Plating Co. and Career Concepts.  He was a member of the Erie Rotary Club, a life member of the Erie Maennerchor and Siebenbuerger Clubs.  Don was an avid bowler, enjoyed golf and was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Shirley I. Blum Magill, one daughter Carolyn Ganoe (Kevin) of Herkimer, NY, one son Patrick M. Magill of Erie, two granddaughters; Kelcie Shively (Eddie) of Dallas, TX and Corey E. Ganoe of Southern Pines, NC.  Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of sharing at 2:30 p.m.  Private interment.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
