Mark R. Wolfe
Mark Richard Wolfe began his next journey on June 24th, 2017. He was born in Erie on May 1st, 1937 to Richard and Madeline Koenig Wolfe. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard “Whitey” Wolfe. He is survived by his wife Ann (Kuhlman) Wolfe, children Donald (Lori), Mark (April), Michael (Pam), and Traci Wolfe (Thomas Vincent), sister Ruthanne Wolfe (John Gonder), several grandchildren and nieces, two great-grandchildren, and his aunt Virginia Rothwell of Florida.
Mark was a graduate of Cathedral Prep and Gannon College and had a long career as a certified financial planner, achieving top performer recognition. He always felt that his clients were his second family. He began working at the age of 12 in the family business, the Jersey Creamery, in the dairy plant and behind the soda fountain of Wolfe’s Restaurant. The business was transformed into the Towne and Country Restaurant where Mark managed the bar and was a “master mixologist”, famous for his Manhattans and his contagious sense of humor.
Mark was a bass player, vocalist, and a jazz aficionado. He hosted a weekly radio program called “Frank’s Place” where he entertained and educated listeners with music from the Great American Songbook. He recorded several CD’s with the group “Touch of Class”, and dedicated one to his wife, Ann, the love of his life, his mentor and soul mate for over 54 years.

Visitation at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Friday, June 30, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
