William Marshall Curtis, Sr.
William "Marshall" Curtis, Sr., age 80, of East Springfield, formerly of Summit Twp., died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Hamot Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Erie County, PA, the son of the late Arthur and Mina Coon Curtis.
Bill served in the US Army's 112th Infantry during WWII. He worked construction and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith M. Barber Curtis, two daughters, Susan C. Brocious (Ralph) of Fairview, Lynda L. Edwards of East Springfield, one son, William M. Curtis, Jr. of East Springfield, one sister, Victoria Marzka, of Centerville, PA, sister-in-law, Jean Curtis of FL, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. for the funeral service. Private interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Regional Cancer Ctr., 2500 West 12th St., Erie, PA 16505.
