Obituary of Harvey H. Shellito

Harvey H. Shellito of Millcreek Township, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Manchester Commons in Fairview Township. He was born in Erie on October 19, 1926, a son of the late Clarence and Marguerite Shellito.
Harvey graduated from Strong Vincent High School. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea during World War II. He was a Liaison Pilot and radio technician. He then worked as a television engineer first in Evansville, Indiana, then at WSEE and WJET. Harvey then worked for Bliley Electric and then many years for GTE as an installation engineer prior to retiring.
Harvey married Marlene Bobonic Shellito on May 29, 1954. He was a member of St. Jude RC Church where he was a Eucharistic minister. Harvey and his wife volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels.
Harvey is survived by his children: Greg (Traci) of Morgantown, W.V.; Lisa (Bob) Danielczyk; Jude (Maureen) of Cleveland; and Megan (Terry) Porter. He is survived by his eight grandchildren; Laraine, Barbara, Christopher, Jonathan, Kristen, Nathan, Shelby, Marissa. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Brayden, Anthony, Isabella, Anna, Patrick, and Andrew.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM, and are invited to a prayer service there on Wednesday Morning at 10:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
