Walter E. “Stormy” Deacon III
Stormy Deacon, 46, passed away August 5, 2017 following a lengthy illness. He was born April 13, 1971 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the son of Walter E. “Butch” Deacon II and Elsa L. Fischer.
Storm attended Holderness Prep in New Hampshire and studied abroad in Scotland where he was inducted into the Glasgow Tigers American Football Hall of Fame. He received an undergraduate degree from Tulane University and a Law Degree from the University of Wyoming, where upon graduation he was awarded the Order of the Coif. Before practicing law in Erie, he clerked for the Honorable Justice Thomas, Wyoming Supreme Court. Storm enjoyed traveling when younger, his children and sports; especially seeing the Boston Red Sox’s finally win the World Series in 2004 with his father.
His father Butch Deacon, preceded Storm in death.
Storm is survived by his wife and three children; mother, Elsa “Lonnie” Deacon of Arizona; uncle, Joel Deacon of Florida; brother, James “Dusty” Deacon of Washington D.C. and other family and many friends.
I would like to thank the wonderful staff of nurses, doctors, aides and administrators at LECOM-Presque Isle Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care they gave Storm, he was treated with respect and dignity.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
