Ruth Easley Pennsy
Ruth Pennsy, age 89, a life-long resident of Millcreek Twp., passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Kittanning, PA on November 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Philip and Stella Matthews Easley.
She was employed at Bello’s Grocery Store, Super Duper hot foods deli, and Moore Research. She was a member of St. Jude’s R.C. Church for over sixty years and was President of West Lake Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed reading and bingo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Pennsy, and a grandson, Aaron Krizanik.
She is survived by her six children: Marla Krizanik (John-deceased), Diana Stankiewicz (Jeff), Ed Pennsy, Michael Pennsy (Jill), Robert Pennsy, and George Pennsy, three brothers: Harold Easley, Kenneth Pennsy, and Edwin Easley, twelve grandchildren: Shawn, Noah, Adam, and Nathan Krizanik, Peyton and Gabriel Stankiewicz, Ryan Bondy, Ellen, Sarah, Kate, Tim, and Jessica Pennsy, and four great-grandchildren: Jaden, Mariah, Steven, and Dominic Pennsy.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Service there on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Lake Fire Department Auxiliary, 3762 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505.
