Obituary of Bruce I. Cashman

Bruce I. Cashman, age 62 of Erie, passed away following an eight-year illness, on Friday October 6, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living at Presque Isle Bay.  He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on February 18, 1955, son of the late Willard and Margaret Miller Cashman.

Bruce moved to the Erie area 18 years ago and worked for Erie Insurance as a claims examiner.  He loved baseball and was a lifelong Yankees fan.  He was an avid golfer, but most of all loved watching and coaching his children’s sports teams. 

He is survived by his wife, Marci Cashman; four children, Marcie (Mike) Waldron, Thomas (Joanna) Cashman, Amy Cashman and Bradley Cashman and five grandchildren, Jacqueline and Michael Cashman, Benjamin, Clayton and Elizabeth Waldron. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise and VNA Hospice for their loving care.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
