Frank Daire, Jr.
Frank J. Daire, Jr., age 81, of Cranesville, PA died February 8, 2009 at Saint Vincent Health Center after a three year illness. He was born on September 26, 1927 in Hudson Falls, NY, the son of the late, Frank Daire, Sr. and Irma Trombley.
He resided in the community for 38 years and was a Minister for New Covenant Christian Church. He enjoyed cooking. He graduated from Zion Bible Institute in 1948. He traveled the United States for many years ministering at hundreds of churches, founding two separate churches before settling down and raising a family. He did mission work in Haiti and was a member of Assembly of God Church in Hudson Falls, NY. He also sat on the Cranesville Borough Planning Commission for sixteen years. He was named an honorary Bishop of the Ephesians 4 Network of the International PHC. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Frank is survived by his wife, Iva Jane Smith Daire, four children: Philip C. Daire, of West Springfield, Frank J. Daire, III, of Cranesville, Douglas T. Daire, of Denver, CO, and Seth W. Daire, of Fort Collins, CO, four sisters: Alice Hicks of Holyoke, MA, Marie Mitrione, Mary Godette, and Jean Bishop all of Hudson Falls, NY, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and thirty-four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Barney and Rose Culver, and one brother, Joseph Daire.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, 11:00 a.m. until time of service there at 1:00 p.m. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
