Angela Marie Daniels

On September 15, 2012, our beloved "Angie" left her earthly home to join her heavenly Father, husband Joe, and family. She was born in Erie on July 27, 1922, to Samuel and Innocenza Russo, both immigrants from Italy.

She provided loving care to her mother, father, and many other family members. She was always a hard worker, with a love of music, and all things Italian. In her enjoyment of skating, she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Joseph S. Daniels, Jr. His death, 16 years ago, was devastating to her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers; Dominick "Mickey" and Anthony "Tony" Russo, both of Erie. Family and faith were the bedrock of Angie's existence, who liked nothing more than to cook, clean, and fuss over them. She was full of life and gave joy to those around her for the past 3 years - bringing great enjoyment to the loving staff of Pleasant Ridge West - whose care has been so appreciated by Angie's family.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara, and her husband, Dennis Whiting, formerly of Erie and now of Crestview, FL; her son, Joe, and his wife, Kathy, of Erie; and a daughter, Mary Ann Daniels. The lights of her life were her grandchildren: Deirdre and Duane Wood of Houston, TX; Meredith and Tony Collins formerly of Erie and now of Crestview, FL; Joe IV and Emily Daniels of Alameda, CA; and Phillip and Phuong Daniels of Erie. This also includes her great-grandchildren Peyton and McKinley Wood, Winifred Collins, and Joe Joe and Ella Daniels.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and are invited to St. Jude Church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial.
