Obituary of Joann Elizabeth Bryson
Joann Elizabeth (Lee) Bryson, 80, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on January 11, 2018 after a brief illness. Mrs. Bryson was the daughter of Anna (Evans) Lee and George Lee of Erie County, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Barney, her brother in law, John Loringer Sr, her granddaughter, Tamika Jones and her former husband, Jack Bryson.
She is survived by one sister, Barbara Loringer of Fairview, PA, one brother, Robert Lee (Barbara) of Jacksonville, FL, six children, Jackie Hollamon (Barry) with whom she lived, David Bryson (Karen) of
New Port Ritchie, FL, Daniel Bryson (Lisa) of North East, PA, Michael Bryson (Terri) of Toledo, OH, Susan Leach of Jacksonville, FL and Cyndi Bryson of Greensville, SC. She had 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, a God-daughter, Lori Kumar (Vivek) of Sarasota, FL, a long-time friend, Patty Bielak, and Nicole Freeman who drove her all over Charlotte. She had many cousins, nieces and nephews that she cherished.
Mrs. Bryson graduated from Strong Vincent HS in Erie, Pa and Erie Business Center. Later in life, she attended Mercyhurst College and earned a degree in banking. She finished her career in the investment department at First National Bank. After retirement, she relocated to St Augustine, FL for a short time before moving permanently to Charlotte, NC. She loved being with her family and friends and her Lee Family Reunion every August. She enjoyed cooking, decorating and gardening. Everywhere she lived was always full of plants and flowers. She was loving, kind and selfless and will be missed tremendously by her family and everyone she knew.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Friday from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
