Obituary of Daniel M. Camino
Daniel M. Camino age 63 of Millcreek Twp., passed away on March 13, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in Erie on October 17, 1954 a son of the late Daniel and Cecilia “Sally” Slupski Camino Sr.
Dan was a 1973 graduate of Tech Memorial High School. He was a very hard worker and retired from GE after 36 years of service. Dan was a selfless person, who loved life and was always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed making people laugh by telling jokes. He also enjoyed reading the newspaper every day from front to back and playing cards.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josie Raucci Camino whom he married on September 7, 1974. Josie could not have asked for a more loving and wonderful husband, he was a great provider, presider and protector of their family. Which is made up of their two children, Daniel L. Camino and his fiancée Sheri Herron and Antoinette Sullivan and her husband Jack and four grandchildren who meant the world to Papa; Adia and Josephine Camino, Sadie Mae Sullivan and his “little buddy” Jackson Sullivan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Danny is further survived by his twin brother, Dennis (Peggy) Camino, the two were known as the “SACK Brothers” of 21st and Wallace and were thick as thieves. Danny was the best big brother and always looked out for Dennis. He was Dennis’s greatest cheerleader throughout life’s ups and downs and moving forward Dennis will be that for his brother’s family.
Dan’s mantra for life was, “You Gotta Laugh”.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a time of sharing at 8:00 PM. A prayer service will be held on Saturday morning at 10:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Bread of Life Church 147 West 24th St. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
