William “Bill” P. Stankiewicz

William “Bill” Stankiewicz, age 92, of Fairview, PA, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Fairview Manor with his family by his side.  He was born on April 11, 1925 in Reynoldsville, PA, the son of the late William R. and Carrie Stankiewicz.

He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946.  Bill was employed at Parker White Metal (PHB) for 37 years and after retiring he cut lawn at the Kahkwa Club for 20 years.

He is survived by his sons: William M. Stankiewicz (Drew Gerber) of Budapest, Hungary, Timothy F. Stankiewicz (Deborah) of Erie, and David A. Stankiewicz (Lori) of Erie, one sister, Nelle Matuski of Reynoldsville, four grandchildren: Lindsey A. Stankiewicz of Fredericksburg, VA, Ashley N. Yerkey of Erie, Alison Miller (Samuel) of Lawrence Park, PA, and Karli A. Kropp (Michael) of Mt. Airy, MD, and seven great-grandchildren: Michael, Lucas, Liam, Gavin, Ethan, Noah, and Kensington.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Theresa E. Stankiewicz, one sister, Josephine Engle, and one brother, Edward Stankiewicz.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service there at 6:30 p.m. Private interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
