Obituary of Nancy Grace Brigaman
Nancy Huntington Brigaman (84) of Erie peacefully returned to her heavenly home on March 17, 2018, after a valiant battle with dementia. We are comforted that Nancy is rejoicing with the Lord and has been made whole again. "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11:25-26
Nancy was born on October 23, 1933 at the Presque Isle Lighthouse, where her grandfather was the last lighthouse keeper. Nancy deeply treasured her childhood on the Peninsula and fondly recalled her memories of boating and watching the sun set over the water. She was a lifelong member of First Alliance Church and spent time volunteering in MOPS, women’s groups, and hospice outreach programs. Nancy and her husband, Glenn K Brigaman, opened the doors to Mighty Fine Donuts in 1967.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Huntington Tanner. Nancy is survived by her husband, Glenn Brigaman; their children, Laura Kauffman, Kevin (Kate) Brigaman and Kurt (Jo Ann) Brigaman, all of Erie; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Nancy is further survived by her brother, Donald (Rae) Huntington of Brentwood, CA, and her sister, Mary Lou (Larry) Loomis of Independence, OR.
