Obituary of Hilda M. Wilga

Hilda M. Wilga, age 92 of Erie, passed away on Monday April 30, 2018 at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge Nursing Facility.  She was born in New Bedford, MA on June 5, 1925, daughter of the late Felix and Mary Wegzyniak Gimer.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry A. Wilga.

Hilda was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New Bedford and a member of the Polish National Alliance.  She enjoyed painting and knitting. 

She is survived by her son, Ronald H. Wilga; three grandchildren, Michael Trinh, Michael J. Wilga and Martin G. Johnson and six great-grandchildren, Megan, Brandon and Justin Trinh, Michael John Wilga II, Courtney Wilga and Marty Johnson. 

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Friday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the memorial service there at 11:15 AM.  Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
