Sergio Rodriguez Sr, age 63, went home to be with the Lord after many years of illness on Friday afternoon, May 25, 2018 at UPMC-Hamot. Sergio was a man who loved and did everything for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez, three sons; Flavio (Sarah), Sergio Jr, and Miguel (Amanda) Rodriguez. Four grandchildren: Alex, Gabriella, Fabiana, and Solomon David Rodriguez. Parents; Victor and Erminia Rodriguez. Brothers; Noe, Abel and sisters; Elvira, Maricela, and Norma Rodriguez. 

Sergio Senior had a deep passion for his country of Mexico, horses, traveling, and classical tamborazo music. He migrated to America in 1971 in search of opportunity. His life would be changed forever when he would meet the love of his life Maria Guadalupe. They married and settled in San Fernando Valley, CA before moving 3,000 miles to Erie, PA in 1993.

Sergio was a longtime employee at The Plastek Group before going on disability. He leaves a legacy of hard work, grit, and perseverance - y se va de este mundo con un puńo de tierra. 

Viewing hours will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Dusckas- Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,4216 Sterrettania Rd. from 3 until 8 p.m. and are invited to St. Stephens RC Church, 1237 West 21^st St., Erie, PA 16502 on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 am for the Funeral Mass. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
