Kenneth C. Steiner

Kenneth C. Steiner, age 91, was born in Erie on March 30, 1927, the son of the late Leander and Frances Babel Steiner. He passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his Millcreek Twp. residence after an extended illness. 

Ken served in the US Navy aboard the USS Idaho, was a life member of VFW Post 470, was an assistant scoutmaster for troop #119, enjoyed gardening, bird watching, all outdoor activities, and motorcycles.

Ken was a landscape foreman and retired from the US Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his wife Laverna Helmbrecht Steiner and one sister Beatrice Shoemaker. He is survived by one daughter Darlene Haring, two sons; Kenneth Lee Steiner, David Steiner, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother Robert Steiner, and many nieces and nephews.

Private services and interment were privately handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 470, 1808 West 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
