Obituary of Jesus Castillo-Montes
Jesus Castillo-Montes
“Good-byes hurt the most because his story was not finished”
Jesus Castillo, better known as “Chuy” passed away suddenly at his home on July 4, 2018. To know Chuy was to love him. He had a unique comfortable way about him; always smiling, laughing that contagious laugh, and bringing joy to those who he encountered. He was quick witted and had a way of making people feel special. He was the rock to his mother and sister and he adored them. He’d give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He contributed to his local charities and those in his hometown of Cueramaro, Gto. Mexico. The roots from which he came made him the gracious man he was.
You could typically find him zooming around El-Canelo Restaurant on W. 12th St., always making his job appear easy and fun.
He is gone far too soon; yet has touched so many hearts. His memory and contagious energy will live on always. He will be immensely missed forever.
He is survived by his grandfather, Ignacio Montes, his grandmother Paulina Angiano, his mother Genoveva Montes, his sister Nancy Castillo, his wife Adriana Castillo, his five children: Adrian, Romeo, Chanel, Issac, and Grace, and a large family of uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Rogelio Castillo, his grandmother Catarina Vargas, and his grandfather Jesus Castillo.
