Lawrence “Larry” Michael Pribonic

Lawrence “Larry” M. Pribonic, age 72, of Erie, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a 2.5year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on July 24, 1946 in Akron, OH, the son of the late Michael and Helen Segedy Pribonic. Larry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a bronze star recipient.  He was a glazer and craftsman and was employed at Schall Glass and Corporate Glass Co. He was a member of St. Jude’s R.C. Church and was extremely dedicated to his Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Elk’s Lodge.  He enjoyed golf, family, comedy, movies, and cigars. He was a wonderful father and coached his sons’ Little league teams and was at every game they played. He was a huge Cleveland sports fan. He loved summers and laying in the sun.  He was a dog lover as well.  He was always helping with his children’s projects and businesses.  He was a lover of golf, but unfortunately was terrible at it.  His sons describe days on the course together as some of the longest and most painful, but best days they ever had together.  He was a true representation of generosity, faith, and love, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Lisa of Akron, David of Akron, Michael of Akron, Matt (Deena) of Millcreek, Vincent (Kaila) of Erie, and Anthony (Alexandra) of Millcreek, his grandchildren: Vincent, Kazimir, Marina, Viviana, Sloan, and Vaida.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and are invited to St. Jude’s R.C.
