Obituary of Victor L. Rosier
Victor L. Rosier age 91 of Erie, PA, passed away on August 2, 2018 at Western Reserve Nursing Facility, with his loving wife of over 40 years Vivian (Danilov) Rosier by his side. He was born in Couriers, NY on March 4, 1927 a son of the late, Leland and Elizabeth Bateman Rosier.
Victor proudly served his country in the United States Navy Merchant Marines during WW II. Upon returning from the war he graduated from Ithaca College. Victor went on to become a pilot/mechanic, building his own planes. He worked at the Erie International Airport and also sold Chris Craft boats at the Erie Marina. He moved to Denver, CO and worked as an aircraft mechanic and also taught classes at Colorado Aerotech Institute, before moving to Florida, where he sold Cessna planes. Victor went on to work at Rockwell International, working on the B-1 Bombers and eventually retired from Frontier Airlines in Denver, CO. Victor was also an accomplished musician, playing the clarinet and drums.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gary Rosier, Debra Rush, Bruce (Camille) Rosier, Eric (Laurie) Rosier, Scott Danilov, Doug Danilov who preceded him in death, John Danilov, David Rosier and Mike Mellot; eighteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Victor’s wishes, he was donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry Program and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506.
