                                                                     Douglas “Doug” Bomengen

 

Douglas “Doug” Bomengen, age 69, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on August 15, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital after an extended illness.  He was born on October 16, 1948 in Waltham, MA, the son of the late Warren and Harriet Judd Bomengen. After the family moved to CA, he graduated from Culver City High School and attended Tri State Business Institute in Erie.  He was employed at Hughes Aircraft in CA as a contract negotiator and the KeyStone Research Corp. in Erie, He enjoyed reading and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by one brother Thomas Bomengen.  He is survived by his wife Susan B. Walker Bomengen, two sisters; Charlotte Gregory, Linda Carl, brother and sister-in-law John and Jean Walker, two nieces, three nephews and their families, and a very good longstanding friend, Freddie Huffman. Private services were held at the convenience of the family by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association-Erie, PA Division, 3505 Embassy Parkway, Ste. 100, Akron, OH 44333.
