John N. DiPlacido

John N. DiPlacido of Erie, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 16, 2012. He was born in Erie on May 14, 1951, son of the late John J. and Carmella Mobila DiPlacido.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Nancy (Joseph) Cocco. John is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann (Dennis) Little of Erie and Mrs. Nina (Glenn) Hepp, of Paris, Tenn. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was a graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He continued his education at the Polytechnic Institute of New York also earning a Master's degree. His accomplishments included several publications in major engineering journals. Since returning to Erie some years ago, he enjoyed sailing and spent most of his time helping others. His humility and selflessness were known to all who loved him.

Private arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
