Obituary of Margaret Boomhower

Margaret “Maggie” Boomhower, lost her battle with cancer Tuesday September 25, 2018, despite a valiant fight.  She joined the angels peacefully, surrounded by her family and close friends in her home.  Maggie is a graduate of St. John’s High School in Ashtabula, OH and had a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. 

 

The daughter of the late G.W. ”Bill” Boomhower and Rubie (Bodisch) Boomhower of Geneva, OH.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Lt. Christopher Boomhower. 

 

Maggie is survived by three children, Meghan Wickert (Mike Brown) of Ashtabula, OH, Sean Wickert (Missy) of Espyville, PA and Katie Wickert (Christopher Seeley) of Linesville, PA and her loving dog and companion, Chase, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Paige, Landon, Mallory, Mason, Ian, Paisley, Pearl and Gunner.  She is also survived by her siblings, Wilson Boomhower (Corinne), Mary Bertholf (Jon), Monica Arlet (Patrick) and Mark Boomhower (Wendy), in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and a large extended family.       

 

 

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and are invited to a Funeral Mass on Monday at 12:00 Noon at St. Jude Catholic Church.  Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Maggie’s name to either the A.N.N.A Shelter 1555 E. 10th St. Erie, PA 16511 or the Regional Cancer Center 2500 West 12th St. Erie, PA 16505
