Arthur H. Mallin

Arthur H. Mallin, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at LECOM Presque Isle.  He was born to Arthur W. Mallin and Elizabeth Eleanor Reger Mallin on June 4, 1927 in Barnsboro, PA.

Arthur was a truck driver for many years; working for the Jacob Haller Co., Sorrento, Peter J. Schmidt, and Hickman.  He loved to watch football; especially Penn State and Pittsburgh.  Arthur was a Union Steward for Local IBEW 397.

He was a kind and loving man who always had a joke or story to tell.  His favorite places to eat were Taki’s and McGarrey’s Oakwood Cafe. Art was loved by all who knew him.  He was knowledgeable when it came to history and could win most trivia games.

Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Mary Leona in 2004, a son Ronald, two sisters; Gladys Rice (Ford City), Elaine Foster (Houtzdale, PA), one brother Ralph Mallin of Houtzdale, PA.

He is survived by his children: Kevin Mallin (Susan) of Summit Twp., Karen Lewis (Dana) of Lawrence Park, three grandchildren; Adam Mallin, Bethany Dunlap (Jon), Amber Mallin, and one great-granddaughter Emily Leona Dunlap, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited there on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at LECOM Presque Isles and the aides on the NW for all their help and concern for their dad and the special care he was given.
